The Strangers’ Case by Tazeen Zahida

A Co-Production of Brave Little Company and Tee Zee Productions

When a group of traveling performers find themselves in a hostile situation, they appeal to the humanity of the local community. Using Shakespeare’s texts, the play will invite audience members to step into the shoes of refugees, immigrants, and outsiders.
This project also offers a series of TEKS-aligned workshops in ELA, visual arts, social studies, and theatre (including design), empowering middle and high school students to find their own voice while analyzing text for point of view, frame of reference, bias, and propaganda.
The Strangers’ Case is funded in part by a Shakespeare in American Communities Grant, a project of the National Endowment for the Arts administrated by Arts Midwest.
